Kingdom Revelator Australia – Issue 66
Jesus is the supreme model of integrity and His life evidenced His purity and excellent character. Pilate said at the trial, "I find no basis for an accusation against this man" (Luke 23:4). There was no basis for guilt or evidence of fault found in Jesus. In other words, His behaviour matched His belief, and His character matched His teachings. 1 Peter 2:12 says, “Conduct yourselves honourably among the Gentiles, so that, though they malign you as evildoers, they may see your honourable deeds and glorify God.” If the world is watching us, then we should ensure that we are following Christ, that is, following His example and doing as He would do. The Holy Father said that Christians must go down to meet the needs of others, after having gone up to meet God in prayer. We need to ponder, if what we claim to believe on Sunday, is put into practice on Monday and every other day of the week? Pope Francis said, “In the storms we experience in life, it is not the storm itself that is the issue, but rather how we navigate the storm. The secret of navigating well is to invite Jesus on board, then the winds will die down and there will be no shipwrecks.” A positive and holy Christian attitude is contagious, it will not only inspire you, but those around you too. “You shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). Just think for a moment, how many people would accept our religion based on our behaviour, or observing the difference Jesus has made in our lives? Are we ready to walk in Jesus’ steps and follow His example?
