Kingdom Revelator – Issue 30
Welcome to the latest edition of Kingdom Revelator. We hope and pray that it will help you to draw closer to Jesus Christ our Lord and will deepen your faith and trust in God.
We are approaching the end of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which will officially end on 20th of November, the Feast of Christ the King. It has been a special year where Catholics have focussed on God’s abundant mercy and love. Throughout the year Pope Francis has been a wonderful example to us by regularly reaching out to those most in need. The photographs of him holding a tiny premature baby when he visited a neonatal hospital recently showed the depths of his love for all the weak and helpless.
This is an important month in the Church’s calendar. At the beginning of this month we celebrated All Saints Day when the Church honoured all those who have died and are with God in Heaven. The following day the Church celebrated All Souls Day when all those who have died were remembered. In many parishes throughout this month, Masses are said each day for our deceased relatives and friends. Later, on 27th of November the new Church year begins with the First Sunday of Advent as we look forward and start preparing for the birthday of Christ at Christmas.
