Kingdom Revelator – Issue 31
December is always a busy month. At home there are so manypreparations to be made for Christmas, cards to be written and sent, presents to be bought, visits to be organised to
friends and family. In schools and colleges there always seems to be a last minute rush to get everything done before the holidays. There seems to be an excitement in the air as everyone looks forward to the parties and the celebrations. But let us remember that we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and our God, who came to live among us. We will be celebrating the most important birth in history when Jesus came to rescue us from our sins and to show His divine love for us by dying on the Cross. He also showed us how we should live. One of the main things that Jesus taught us was that we should love other people as He loves them. For many people, its the time of the year that makes them feel more lonely and vulnerable because they cannot join in the celebrations. So this year let us look out for the elderly and the frail who have no-one to celebrate Christmas with and reach out to them with love and kindness. A card, a small gift, a chat or a kind word may make all the difference to a lonely neighbour. You could invite them to join you at Church for the Christmas services and introduce them to others in your parish community. Let us also remember and pray for the Christians around the world who are persecuted for their faith. May peace and understanding prevail among all nations. We pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to bring peace and joy to
the hearts of all people. And one day the world will acknowledge that He is Lord and that everyone will bend their knee at the name of Jesus. We wish all our readers a happy and blessed Christmas. May the joy of the Lord fi ll your hearts and minds at this special time of year.
