Kingdom Revelator – Issue 27
Welcome to the latest edition of Kingdom Revelator. We pray that it will help you to deepen your faith and experience more of God’s love in your life. Imagine the scene. It’s a hot sunny day and you are walking beside a big river chatting with your friend. Suddenly they slip on a muddy patch of grass and fall headlong into the water. They can’t swim and are struggling to keep their heads above water, so what would you do? If you are a confident swimmer you might jump into the water to save them. Otherwise you would look around for a life belt or a rope that you could throw out to them and drag them onto the bank. Our natural instinct is to help anyone who is in trouble, not just our friends. I have always thought that it must be an amazing feeling to have saved someone’s life. But we are not just in physical danger, people are also at risk spiritually. Look around you, are any of your friends struggling at the moment? Many young people are looking for love in all the wrong places or have so little self-esteem that they don’t care what happens to them. How can we help them to know that they are the beloved children of God, that they are special to Him and that they can have joy, peace and happiness in their lives? How can we help them to discover the true love that they crave deep down in their hearts? There is only one sure way and that is by throwing them a lifeline and telling them about Jesus.
